The UAE Ministry of Defence announced that its air defense systems intercepted 9 ballistic missiles and 33 drones launched from Iran on March 14, 2026.

According to the statement, the incoming threats were detected approaching the country and were successfully engaged by UAE defensive systems.
Since the beginning of the Iranian attacks, UAE air defenses have intercepted a total of 294 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,600 drones targeting the country.
The attacks have resulted in six fatalities, including nationals from the UAE, Pakistan, Nepal, and Bangladesh, and 141 injuries ranging from minor to moderate severity among individuals of multiple nationalities. These include citizens from the UAE, Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, the Philippines, Pakistan, Iran, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Yemen, Uganda, Eritrea, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Comoros, Türkiye, Iraq, Nepal, Nigeria, Oman, Jordan, Palestine, Ghana, Indonesia, and Sweden.
The UAE Ministry of Defence reaffirmed that the armed forces remain fully prepared to confront any threats, emphasizing their readiness to protect the country’s sovereignty, security, stability, and national interests.
