An Israeli airstrike targeted an apartment in the Aisha Bakkar area of Beirut early Wednesday, causing casualties and significant damage to the residential building. Initial reports indicated that the apartment may have been used as an administrative office linked to the Islamic Group, though the organization later denied any connection to the site.

According to Israeli media reports, four people were killed in the strike. Some sources suggested the intended target was Ahmad Abdullah, a figure reportedly linked to Hamas, though this has not been officially confirmed.

Local reports indicated that the attack may have been carried out using missiles launched from Israeli naval vessels off the Lebanese coast. Emergency services responded to the scene and evacuated residents from neighboring apartments after it was reported that an unexploded missile remained inside one of the affected units.
The blast also reportedly injured members of a family living in the building, while security forces sealed off the area as rescue teams continued operations.
In a statement issued later, the Islamic Group denied that the targeted location belonged to the organization, rejecting claims that any of its offices or members were present at the site. The group also called on media outlets to verify information before publishing reports about the incident.
