Syrian Officers Wanted for Execution Allegedly Detained at Lebanese Border
According to Nidaa Al-Watan, Syrian officials Maj. Gen. Ghassan Nafeh Bilal—head of Maher al-Assad’s office and deputy commander of the Fourth Division—and Col. Firas Hikmat Kreidi, a security officer in the same division, have reportedly been detained by Lebanese General Security at the Masnaa border crossing.
Both individuals are fugitives from death sentences in Syria, with one allegedly carrying a forged identity card under the name “Al-Khityar.”
The report urges Lebanese security agencies to act swiftly to prevent their entry into Lebanon, given the sensitive nature of their cases.

بحسب صحيفة نداء الوطن، فإن اللواء غسان نافع بلال، مدير مكتب ماهر الأسد ونائب قائد الفرقة الرابعة، والعقيد فراس حكمت كريدي، ضابط أمن الفرقة الرابعة، قد تم توقيفهما من قبل الأمن العام اللبناني عند نقطة المصنع الحدودية.
كلا الشخصين فارّان من أحكام بالإعدام في سوريا، ويُزعم أن أحدهما يحمل بطاقة هوية مزوّرة باسم “الختيار”.
ودعت الصحيفة الأجهزة الأمنية اللبنانية إلى التحرك سريعاً لمنع دخولهما إلى الأراضي اللبنانية نظراً لحساسية قضيتهما.
