Three people were injured following Iran’s latest ballistic missile attack targeting central Israel, according to emergency services. First responders reported two main impact sites, with injuries caused by shrapnel from the strike.
Israel’s emergency service Magen David Adom said it treated three victims, including a man in his 40s in serious condition in Tel Aviv, a 25-year-old in moderate condition, and a 56-year-old man in good condition who were both injured in Petah Tikva.
Police officials reported more than a dozen impact locations across central Israel, suggesting the missile may have carried a cluster bomb warhead, which disperses multiple submunitions over a wide area. The pattern of scattered impact points is consistent with this type of payload.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that search and rescue units were deployed to the affected areas and said an investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances of the attack and the type of warhead used.
