Zelensky expressed gratitude for Trump’s interest in what the two nations can accomplish together and emphasized Ukraine’s commitment to working with the U.S. on security and economic matters.
Additionally, Zelensky noted discussions with U.S. Secretary of State Scott Bessent regarding a new document outlining security, economic cooperation, and resource partnerships. Trump also shared details of his recent call with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“No one wants peace more than Ukraine,” Zelensky stated, highlighting that Ukraine and the U.S. are charting their next steps to halt Russian aggression and ensure lasting peace. He affirmed that both leaders agreed to maintain contact and plan further meetings.
