Ukraine Ready To Export Drone Interceptors

Ukrainian drone makers say they are ready to export low-cost interceptor drones like the P1-SUN, which reportedly destroyed 1,500 Shahed UAVs and can be produced at 50,000 units monthly.

Ukrainian drone manufacturers say they are prepared to begin exporting interceptor drones to international partners, including the United States and Gulf states such as Qatar and Saudi Arabia. According to industry representatives, Ukraine’s battlefield experience countering Iranian-designed Shahed drones has accelerated the development of low-cost interception systems.

One system drawing attention is SkyFall’s P1-SUN interceptor drone, which reportedly costs around $1,000 per unit and has been credited with destroying more than 1,500 Shahed attack drones during combat operations in Ukraine. The platform is designed as a rapid-response aerial interceptor, capable of targeting and neutralizing incoming UAV threats at a significantly lower cost than traditional air-defense missiles.

Ukrainian manufacturers say production capacity could reach up to 50,000 units per month, allowing large-scale deployment or export to allied countries seeking affordable counter-drone capabilities. The potential export program reflects Ukraine’s growing defense technology sector, which has expanded rapidly since the start of the war with Russia and is increasingly positioning itself as a global supplier of drone warfare technologies.
