🇺🇸 U.S. President Donald J. Trump is reportedly preparing to approve his first Ukraine military aid package since returning to office. The package includes Patriot surface-to-air missile systems and GMLRS munitions (Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System), marking a new phase in Trump’s involvement in the ongoing Ukraine conflict.
While Ukraine has continued receiving military support in 2025, all aid thus far has come from previously approved packages under the Biden administration. This marks Trump’s first direct use of executive authority to greenlight new arms shipments to Kyiv.
The decision comes as Russia intensifies aerial and ground assaults across Ukraine and amid growing NATO pressure for the U.S. to reaffirm its commitment to Ukraine’s defense.
