🇺🇦 Ukraine has revealed a game-changing weapon in its defense against relentless Shahed drone attacks by 🇷🇺 Russia—Sky Sentinel, an autonomous AI-controlled turret designed for rapid response and high-precision interception.

The Sky Sentinel system features a Browning M2 heavy machine gun mounted on a turret with a 360-degree field of operation. The AI is integrated with a radar system, enabling real-time detection, tracking, and autonomous firing based on trajectory data.
What makes Sky Sentinel exceptional is its intelligence: the system is trained to ignore false targets like birds, ensuring accuracy and conserving ammunition. It can lock onto and shoot down targets flying at speeds of up to 800 km/h.
Despite being in combat testing, Sky Sentinel has already shown battlefield effectiveness by successfully eliminating four Shahed drones. The unit cost is reported at $150,000, offering an affordable and scalable solution for frontline air defense.

The developers are now shifting toward mass production, with goals to roll out dozens of units per month. These turrets will be deployed across critical infrastructure sites to reinforce Ukraine’s layered defense strategy against UAV threats.
Sky Sentinel marks a leap forward in autonomous warfare—blending AI precision, tactical affordability, and operational autonomy to defend against one of the most persistent threats Ukraine faces today.
