Reports from Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley indicate that an unusual nighttime military operation occurred near the town of Nabi Chit. Around 10:30 PM, residents reportedly heard intense low-altitude helicopter activity across the Bekaa region, suggesting the start of a covert aerial insertion. According to local accounts, the force did not land directly inside Nabi Chit, but rather in the Eastern Mountain Range (al-Silsila al-Sharqiya) between the towns of al-Khraybeh and Ma’raboun, before moving on foot toward the mountainous outskirts of Nabi Chit.

Approximately one hour later, Lebanese Army units reportedly suspected a possible infiltration coming from the Syrian side, especially amid reports of unusual military movements near the border. The army launched illumination flares over the area, which drew the attention of nearby villages and armed elements stationed in the surrounding hills.
Following the alert, artillery shells and heavy gunfire were reportedly directed toward the suspected infiltration zone. Villages such as al-Khraybeh and al-Khader also witnessed heavy gunfire into the air as residents and local fighters reacted to the situation.
The infiltrating force reportedly remained positioned near the Al-Shokr neighborhood north of Nabi Chit, close to a local cemetery. Soon after the operation was exposed, intense Israeli air support reportedly began, with fighter jets launching heavy airstrikes and fire belts across the area. The bombardment reportedly continued for nearly two hours, damaging parts of Nabi Chit and targeting artillery positions in surrounding villages.
Once the airstrikes subsided, helicopters reportedly returned to extract the infiltrating force from the area. According to available accounts, no close-range ground battle occurred, and helicopters were not directly targeted during the extraction phase.
Sources close to the Lebanese Army later stated that the Israeli force initially landed in the Eastern mountain range, moved by vehicles toward the eastern side of Nabi Chit, and reached the Al-Shokr area near the cemetery, with the operation coinciding with intense aerial bombardment and continuous fighter jet presence over the Bekaa region.
