🇮🇷 Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei issued a direct accusation against the U.S. President, stating that his description of recent events was “unusually exaggerated”—not out of error, but necessity. In a post shared by Khamenei’s official account, he suggested that the exaggeration was intentional, used to cover up deeper truths and mask the reality of U.S. inaction.
“Anyone who heard those words understood that beneath their surface, another truth existed,” Khamenei wrote. “They couldn’t do anything and exaggerated to cover up and conceal the truth.”
The remarks are widely believed to reference Washington’s handling of the recent conflict with Iran, as well as President Trump’s portrayal of U.S. success in neutralizing Iran’s nuclear capabilities.
The timing of Khamenei’s message adds fuel to the ongoing narrative war between Tehran and Washington in the aftermath of the 12-day escalation.
