IDF Reveals Dozens of Iranian Drones Intercepted by Electronic Warfare Unit

Israel says its 5114th Spectrum Battalion has intercepted dozens of Iranian drones using real-time electronic warfare tools, adding a critical layer of defense in the ongoing conflict.

🔹 The Israeli military announced that dozens of Iranian drones have been intercepted using advanced electronic warfare systems since the start of the war with Iran.

🔹 The 5114th Spectrum Battalion, part of the IDF’s Computer Service Directorate, has played a key role in neutralizing Iranian UAV threats, according to the IDF.

🔹 In recent days, the unit has reportedly foiled dozens of drone attack attempts using cutting-edge technologies capable of real-time detection and disruption of aerial threats.

🔹 The military states that the battalion’s activities form “an additional layer of defense”, supplementing conventional air force and naval interceptions.

🔹 Iran has launched more than 1,000 drones at Israel during the war. While most were intercepted by the Israeli Air Force and Navy, one drone struck a home in Beit She’an over the weekend.

🔹 The integration of electronic warfare capabilities into Israel’s UAV defense highlights a growing emphasis on cyber-kinetic solutions to modern battlefield challenges.
