The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has officially released declassified presentation slides detailing the first 24 hours of “Operation Epic Fury”.
The Launch of Epic Fury
The operation was officially launched at 1:15am on February 28, 2026. It commenced at the direct order of the President of the United States. Operating within the CENTCOM Area of Responsibility, the target location is strictly within Iran. The primary overview states that CENTCOM forces are actively striking targets to dismantle the Iranian regime’s security apparatus. To achieve this, forces are prioritizing locations that pose an imminent threat.




The Target Bank
According to the released intelligence, the first phase of the operation focused heavily on decapitating the Iranian military’s command structure and crippling its offensive capabilities. The designated types of targets include:
* Command and Control Centers were targeted. The strikes also hit the IRGC Joint Headquarters.
* The operation prioritized the IRGC Aerospace Forces Headquarters. Integrated Air Defense Systems were also on the target list.
* U.S. forces struck Ballistic Missile Sites. Anti-ship Missile Sites were also targeted.
* The target bank included Iranian Navy Ships and Iranian Navy Submarines. Military Communication Capabilities were heavily targeted as well.
A Massive Asset Deployment
To execute this unprecedented strike on the Islamic Republic, the Pentagon deployed a staggering array of land, air, and sea assets. The declassified list of U.S. assets employed in the first 24 hours includes:
* Advanced Aviation: The U.S. utilized B-2 Stealth Bombers. The air campaign included F-22 Fighter Jets and F-35 Stealth Fighters. F-16 and F-18 Fighter Jets were also employed, along with A-10 Attack Jets.
* Drones and Support Aircraft: The operation utilized LUCAS Drones and MQ-9 Reapers. Support aircraft included EA-18G Electronic Attack Aircraft, P-8 Maritime Patrol, and RC-135 Reconnaissance Aircraft.
* Naval and Missile Defense: Nuclear-Powered Aircraft Carriers and Guided-Missile Destroyers were deployed. Defense systems included Patriot Interceptor Missile Systems and THAAD Anti-Ballistic Missile Systems.
* Logistics and Artillery: The military used M-142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems. Airborne Early Warning & Control Aircraft and Airborne Communication Relay were active. Logistics involved Refueling Tanker Aircraft, Refueling Ships, C-17 Globemaster Cargo Aircraft, and C-130 Cargo Aircraft. Counter-Drone Systems were also deployed.
CENTCOM explicitly noted that alongside the listed hardware, the operation employed “special capabilities we can’t list here!”.
