BREAKING: Iranian-Backed Houthis Announce High Alert, Threaten Escalation Over Iran-Israel Tensions
The Houthi movement in Yemen, backed by Iran, has declared a heightened state of readiness, warning that any attack by Israel or the United States on either themselves or Iran will trigger a regional escalation.
In an official statement, the Houthis said:
“We are in a state of constant readiness and are working to escalate our operations against the usurping entity [Israel], against the backdrop of the escalating massacres in Gaza and the worsening humanitarian situation there.”
They added:
“Any escalation against the Islamic Republic of Iran is also dangerous and will drag the entire region into the abyss of war.”
The warning underscores the risk of a wider regional conflict, as tensions spike over a possible Israeli strike on Iran and ongoing U.S. evacuations from key Middle East posts.
