The UK government has announced the temporary withdrawal of its embassy staff from Tehran, citing the deteriorating security situation in the region.
“We have taken the precautionary measure to temporarily withdraw our UK staff from Iran,” said the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office in an official statement.
“Our embassy continues to operate remotely.”
This move comes just days after the UK also evacuated family members of diplomatic staff from its missions in Israel, reflecting broader concerns over regional instability sparked by the ongoing Israel–Iran conflict.
