U.S. GOES AFTER IRAN’S OIL GHOST SHIPS
The U.S. Treasury has sanctioned Jugwinder Singh Brar, an oil trader operating nearly 30 tankers used to secretly move Iranian crude oil across the Gulf. Brar, along with his India and UAE-based companies, has been accused of facilitating illicit ship-to-ship transfers to help Iran’s military bypass international sanctions.
Washington says the operation directly funds Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and supports destabilizing activities across the Middle East.
This latest move targets not only Brar’s fleet but also the global network enabling Iran’s shadow oil trade.
