🇺🇸 Trump Rules Out Ukraine’s NATO Membership, Suggests Meeting Putin in Saudi Arabia

U.S. President Donald Trump stated on Wednesday that Ukraine’s NATO membership is not a practical option and that it is unlikely Kyiv will regain all of its territory from Russia.
Trump held separate phone calls with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, marking his first major diplomatic effort toward ending the war in Ukraine.
He described his conversation with Putin as “a good talk” that lasted over an hour. The Kremlin reported that their call lasted nearly 90 minutes and that both leaders agreed to meet in the future, possibly in Saudi Arabia or the UAE.
Trump also confirmed that he will sign an executive order imposing retaliatory tariffs on any country that places tariffs on U.S. imports.
