🇺🇸🇮🇱 In a powerful public statement, U.S. President Donald Trump denounced the decision to put Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on trial just days after Israel, under Netanyahu’s command, executed what Trump described as “one of its greatest moments in history.”
The remarks came following joint U.S.–Israeli military operations that struck and crippled key components of Iran’s nuclear weapons program. Trump emphasized Netanyahu’s central role in the campaign, praising him as a “warrior” and “a man who fought harder than anyone in Israel’s history for the survival of the Holy Land.”
“Bibi and I went through HELL together,” Trump said. “We fought a brilliant and dangerous enemy, Iran, and what we achieved was something no one thought was possible — a complete elimination of the biggest nuclear threat in the world. And now he’s being dragged to court? This is an outrage.”
Trump ridiculed the legal case against Netanyahu as politically driven and absurd, referencing “cigars, a Bugs Bunny doll, and other unfair charges.” He called the process a “witch hunt” and warned it was an insult to the people of Israel and to a leader who had just helped secure their safety.
“This man led Israel during one of the toughest battles in modern history. He deserves praise, not prosecution.”
Trump demanded the immediate cancellation of the trial or a pardon for Netanyahu, stating that “perhaps no one in the world could have worked better with the United States than Bibi.” He further suggested that it was America that saved Israel, and now it must be America that saves Bibi Netanyahu.
The post, which echoed Trump’s characteristic style of rallying language, concluded with a fierce warning that this “travesty of justice cannot be allowed.”
