According to a recent probe conducted by the 143rd “Gaza” Division, it is now believed that over 6,000 terrorists crossed from the Gaza Strip into southern Israel by land, air, and sea during the October 7th massacre. This incursion coincided with the launch of over 4,300 rockets targeting communities across central and southern Israel, serving as a distraction.
Key details from the probe include:
• Infiltration Force Composition: Among the 6,000 individuals who entered southern Israel, at least 3,800 were identified as members of Hamas’s elite “Nukhba” Naval Commandos.
• Non-Militant Participants: Between 1,000 and 2,000 of those involved were not affiliated with Hamas or Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ). Instead, they were Palestinian residents who reportedly took the opportunity to loot and commit violent acts inside Israel.
• Operational Failures and Planning: The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) are conducting internal investigations to understand the failures and the level of planning that went into the attack. The probe aims to draw operational conclusions to enhance military readiness and prevent similar incidents in the future .
