đźđ· Iranâs Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei issued a direct accusation against the U.S. President, stating that his description of recent events was âunusually exaggeratedâânot out of error, but necessity. In a post shared by Khameneiâs official account, he suggested that the exaggeration was intentional, used to cover up deeper truths and mask the reality of U.S. inaction.
âAnyone who heard those words understood that beneath their surface, another truth existed,â Khamenei wrote. âThey couldnât do anything and exaggerated to cover up and conceal the truth.â
The remarks are widely believed to reference Washingtonâs handling of the recent conflict with Iran, as well as President Trumpâs portrayal of U.S. success in neutralizing Iranâs nuclear capabilities.
The timing of Khameneiâs message adds fuel to the ongoing narrative war between Tehran and Washington in the aftermath of the 12-day escalation.
