IRAN MOVES LONG-RANGE MISSILES INTO IRAQ AS NUCLEAR TALKS LOOM
Just days before scheduled nuclear talks with the U.S. in Oman, Iran has covertly transferred long-range missiles to proxy militias in Iraq—a move viewed as both a threat and a negotiation tactic.
Intelligence sources confirm Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) smuggled the missiles across the border, marking the first confirmed deployment of long-range systems outside Iran. Some of these missiles reportedly have the range to reach targets in Europe.
Analysts view this as a high-stakes gamble by Tehran, aimed at preserving its regional influence after recent strategic losses in Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria. It’s a signal to Washington that Iran’s deterrence capabilities remain intact, despite mounting pressure and diplomatic isolation.
This bold shift adds significant tension to upcoming negotiations, raising fears of broader escalation if diplomacy fails.
