The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) has issued an urgent evacuation warning to residents of Tyre, Lebanon, advising civilians to move immediately northward toward the Awali River. This directive comes ahead of anticipated airstrikes targeting Hezbollah sites in the area. Col. Avichay Adraee, the IDF’s Arabic-language spokesperson, conveyed the message on X (formerly Twitter), along with a map highlighting areas marked in red that will be affected by the strikes.
“Hezbollah’s activity forces the IDF to act in the area you are in. The IDF does not want to harm you,” Adraee stated, emphasizing the dangers of proximity to Hezbollah facilities. “Anyone who is near Hezbollah personnel, facilities, and weapons is putting their life in danger.” The IDF’s warning underscores its intention to mitigate civilian harm while conducting operations against Hezbollah targets. Residents in the affected zones are urged to evacuate immediately to ensure their safety.
