IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir visited the site of an Iranian ballistic missile strike in Bat Yam today and delivered a powerful message on the importance of civilian strength and frontline coordination amid the ongoing war with Iran.
“Civilian resilience is critical for us. It’s a central component of our ability to continue functioning.”
Key Highlights from Zamir’s Statement:
• “We are fighting a war here that leaves us no choice. It is being conducted across all dimensions.”
• “Right now, we are hunting ballistic missiles… UAVs are out there… fighter jets are involved… 1,500 kilometers from Israel, we’re tracking and destroying missiles.”
• He praised the Home Front Command:
“When something hits, forces are on the ground… You arrive quickly, rescue, treat the wounded — even face fatalities.”
Zamir emphasized that the strength of Israel’s home front is what allows the IDF to operate aggressively and decisively:
“We’re not stopping now — because the home front’s resilience is strong. When it is strong, we have the confidence to keep operating.”
