New details have emerged about the suspect in the tragic shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis, with reports that the alleged shooter, identified as Robin Westman, posted a disturbing video online before the attack.
The video, which has since been taken down from social media platforms, is now part of the police investigation as they work to establish a motive for the horrific violence that left two children dead and over a dozen people injured.
Sources familiar with the investigation say the video, along with messages scrawled on the suspect’s firearms, points to a clear anti-Christian and anti-Trump ideology. The messages “Kill Donald Trump” and “Where is your God” were reportedly found on the weapons.
NK Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara confirmed that the shooter, who was armed with a rifle, shotgun, and pistol, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The attack, which occurred during a school-wide Mass, was described by the chief as a “deliberate act of violence against innocent children.” The victims were an 8-year-old and a 10-year-old who were shot as the suspect fired through the church windows.
While authorities have not officially confirmed the suspect’s name, multiple local news outlets and law enforcement sources have identified him as Robin Westman, a 23-year-old from a suburb of Minneapolis. The motive and content of the video and messages are at the center of the ongoing investigation.
