🇮🇩🇨🇳 In a rare display of military cooperation, Indonesian marine special forces completed advanced training in China’s Hunan Province on the use of airborne inflatable boats. The training, held from June 7 to July 2, was designed to boost Indonesia’s amphibious and rapid-response capabilities.

Troops from Indonesia’s 1st Reconnaissance-Amphibious Battalion learned how to operate and maintain these specialized boats, which are equipped with delta wings and engines, enabling travel across both water and air. These craft are particularly suited for covert landing missions and operations in hard-to-access environments, such as flooded zones, swamps, and river deltas.

The program focused on:
• Team coordination during airborne navigation
• Technical troubleshooting and field repairs
• Tactical use in reconnaissance and rescue operations

Lt. Col. Dave Lomboan, commander of the Indonesian Marine Corps unit, emphasized that this training will be incorporated into the country’s elite special forces doctrine, enhancing readiness for complex missions.
