Ceasefire Plan for Ukraine Proposed in Switzerland
A 31-page ceasefire proposal for Ukraine has been presented in Switzerland, developed by experts from Russia, the U.S., Europe, and Ukraine.
Key Provisions of the Plan:
• Establishing a 10-km buffer zone along the front line, monitored by 5,000 civilian specialists and police officers.
• Deploying a UN peacekeeping force of at least 10,000 troops in Ukraine.
• Forming a joint Russian-Ukrainian commission with international observers to monitor the ceasefire, oversee prisoner exchanges, conduct demining, and establish humanitarian corridors.
The proposal aims to de-escalate the conflict but will require approval from both sides and the international community to move forward.
