The White House also confirmed the appointment of American General Jasper Jeffers as commander of the International Stabilization Force. Jeffers will control the “hard power” aspects of the mandate: enforcing demilitarization, securing borders, and ensuring that the massive influx of reconstruction materials does not fall into the hands of Hamas remnants.
Supporting the Council’s strategy are two of Jared Kushner’s closest lieutenants: Aryeh Lightstone and Josh Greenbaum (author of the reconstruction plan), who will serve as Senior Advisors to translate the Council’s mandate into execution.
