One of the two U.S. crew members from a downed F-15E Strike Eagle has reportedly been rescued and evacuated from southern Iran, according to Israeli Channel 12.
Efforts are ongoing to locate the second crew member, as search-and-rescue operations continue inside Iranian territory.
The aircraft was confirmed to have been shot down over Iran, marking the first known instance of a U.S. fighter jet being downed by enemy fire in the current war.
Reports indicate that U.S. forces launched a high-risk rescue mission involving aircraft and helicopters operating at low altitude over hostile مناطق, consistent with combat search-and-rescue procedures.
At this stage, there has been no official confirmation from U.S. authorities regarding the rescue or the status of the second crew member.
The situation remains fluid as operations continue on the ground.
