The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Defense announced that its air defense systems successfully intercepted 9 ballistic missiles, 1 cruise missile, and 50 UAVs launched from Iran on April 5, 2026.
Authorities confirmed that no fatalities or injuries were recorded during the latest wave of attacks.
Since the beginning of the conflict, UAE air defenses have engaged a total of:
• 507 ballistic missiles
• 24 cruise missiles
• 2,191 UAVs
Despite the high interception rate, cumulative casualties have been reported. The total number of fatalities stands at 10 civilians of multiple nationalities, in addition to 2 Emirati service members and one Moroccan contractor.
The total number of injuries has reached 217, affecting individuals from a wide range of nationalities, reflecting the international nature of the UAE’s population and workforce.
The Ministry of Defense emphasized that all military units remain on full operational readiness, reaffirming their commitment to defending national sovereignty, protecting critical infrastructure, and ensuring the country’s stability amid ongoing regional escalation.
