The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Defense announced that its air defense systems intercepted 56 drones and 23 ballistic missiles launched from Iran on April 4, marking one of the largest single-day aerial assaults in the ongoing conflict.
The interceptions highlight the scale and intensity of Iran’s continued attacks targeting the UAE, as well as the effectiveness of the country’s layered air defense network.
This latest barrage follows a pattern of sustained strikes over recent days. On April 3, UAE defenses engaged 18 ballistic missiles and 47 drones, underscoring the rapid escalation and increasing frequency of attacks.
Since the start of hostilities, the UAE has faced hundreds of missile and drone attacks, with air defense systems continuously intercepting incoming threats to protect critical infrastructure and populated areas.
Authorities have repeatedly emphasized that all defense systems remain on high alert and full operational readiness, as the country continues to respond to multi-layered aerial threats, including ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and UAV swarms.
The ongoing attacks reflect a broader regional escalation, with the UAE emerging as one of the primary targets of Iranian long-range strike capabilities across the Gulf.
