The United Arab Emirates has imposed an immediate ban on the entry and transit of Iranian nationals through Dubai, according to an official airline notice.

The restriction applies to all Iranian passport holders, including those with valid UAE residency visas, as well as holders of visit and tourist visas. Iranian nationals currently outside the UAE will also be denied entry, even if they hold residency status.
An exception may be granted to first-degree family members of UAE nationals—such as parents, spouses, children, and siblings—provided they obtain prior approval before travel.
Airlines and travel partners have been instructed to strictly comply with the directive and avoid booking or transporting passengers who fall under the restriction unless they meet the stated exception criteria.
The move comes amid heightened regional tensions and reflects tighter travel controls affecting Iranian nationals.
