U.S. President Donald J. Trump stated that Iran is seeking peace and has agreed not to pursue nuclear weapons.
He said U.S. forces have destroyed Iran’s air force and navy during what he described as “Operation Epic Rage,” adding that key military capabilities and leadership targets have been eliminated.
Trump noted that oil prices are expected to drop sharply once an agreement with Iran is finalized, while warning that Iran’s capabilities could grow quickly if left unchecked.
He confirmed that “very good” talks have taken place with Tehran to explore a broader deal, expressing confidence that a comprehensive agreement could be reached.
Trump added that Israel played a key role in the conflict and that Iran has been given a five-day window to determine the next steps.
He emphasized that Iran now has an opportunity to end its threats against the United States and its allies, stating that whether through a deal or continued military action, the outcome will lead to a significantly safer world.
