U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the United States has “beaten and completely decimated Iran” militarily, economically, and in other areas following the ongoing conflict between Washington and Tehran.
In his remarks, Trump said the United States will continue supporting international efforts to secure the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global shipping route for oil exports.
The president added that countries that rely on oil shipments passing through the strait must take responsibility for protecting the passage, while the United States will provide significant assistance and coordination.
Trump emphasized that Washington will work closely with partner nations to ensure safe and uninterrupted maritime traffic through the waterway, which is considered one of the most strategically important energy corridors in the world.
According to Trump, the effort to secure the Strait of Hormuz should involve a coordinated international approach, describing it as a shared responsibility among countries dependent on energy supplies moving through the region.
He concluded that greater international cooperation around maritime security could strengthen stability and security, saying such collaboration could ultimately contribute to broader global stability and peace.
