Türkiye’s Ministry of National Defense announced that a ballistic munition launched from Iran and entering Turkish airspace was successfully neutralized by NATO air and missile defense systems deployed in the Eastern Mediterranean.

The ministry stated that all necessary measures are being taken decisively against any threat to the country’s territory and airspace, while developments in the region continue to be closely monitored.
This marks one of several similar incidents in recent weeks, highlighting rising tensions as Iranian projectiles increasingly approach or enter NATO member airspace.
