Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has issued a direct and severe warning to Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem, following recent rocket fire launched toward Israeli territory.
Speaking after a high-level security assessment with military officials, Katz said that Hezbollah’s leadership would face significant consequences for attacks targeting Israeli civilians, particularly during the Passover holiday.
“I have a clear message for Naim Qassem, Secretary-General of the Hezbollah terror organization: You and your associates will pay a very heavy price for the intensified fire toward Israeli civilians as they sit to celebrate the Passover Seder,” Katz stated.
He further escalated his rhetoric, warning that Hezbollah’s leadership would not survive the conflict. “You will not live to see this,” he said, adding that Qassem would join other figures Israel claims to have eliminated.
Katz referenced multiple key figures, including former Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, and Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, describing them collectively as part of what he called an “axis of evil.”
The statement marks a continued escalation in Israel’s messaging toward Hezbollah leadership, as cross-border hostilities intensify amid the broader regional conflict.
