Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said he and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have instructed the military to immediately destroy all bridges over the Litani River used for Hezbollah activities, aiming to prevent the movement of fighters and weapons southward.
Katz added that the army will accelerate the demolition of homes in Lebanese border villages to neutralize threats against Israeli communities, citing operational models used in Beit Hanoun and Rafah in Gaza.
He stated that Israeli forces are continuing intensive ground maneuvers inside Lebanon to eliminate Hezbollah operatives and reach anti-tank missile lines and strategic positions.
The military will also continue allowing civilians in southern Lebanon to evacuate northward toward the Litani River, outside combat zones, for their safety.
Katz emphasized that Israel is determined not to allow a return to the pre-October 7 reality.
