The Israeli military says around 200 members of Hezbollah and other armed groups have been killed in Israeli strikes across Lebanon since hostilities sharply escalated last week. According to the IDF, the campaign began after Hezbollah launched attacks on Israel following the reported killing of Iran’s supreme leader.
Israeli officials said the military has carried out more than 600 airstrikes across Lebanon, using over 820 bombs targeting Hezbollah infrastructure, weapons sites, and operational units.
Among the reported militant casualties, the IDF said 80 were members of Hezbollah’s elite Radwan Force, while 70 were Hezbollah artillery operatives involved in launching rockets toward Israel. The Israeli military also claimed that several senior figures were killed, including the head of Palestinian Islamic Jihad in Lebanon.
Lebanon’s Health Ministry reported that 394 people have been killed in Israeli strikes over the past week, though it did not distinguish between civilians and combatants.
The IDF also stated it destroyed multiple rocket launchers in southern Lebanon that were prepared for attacks on Israeli territory. In a separate incident, Israeli forces said they struck a launcher shortly after it fired rockets toward Metula.
Additionally, the Israeli military reported that a Hezbollah operative was killed in a drone strike in southern Lebanon after being identified by Israeli ground troops operating in the area.
