🇩🇪 Germany is now equipping Ukraine with long-range weapon systems capable of striking targets deep into Russian-held territory, marking a significant escalation in Western support for Kyiv. General Christian Freuding of the Bundeswehr confirmed that the first of these systems will arrive before the end of the month.
The newly delivered systems are expected to enhance both Ukraine’s air defense and offensive precision capabilities. This includes equipment designed to target strategic infrastructure far beyond the front lines, providing Ukraine with greater leverage as it continues to counter Russian aggression.
The move reflects Germany’s evolving posture from cautious supporter to more direct enabler of Ukrainian military operations. While the exact systems being sent remain classified, experts suggest they could include extended-range cruise missiles or advanced guided artillery.
This support comes amid a broader NATO effort to reinforce Ukraine’s capacity to deter future offensives and protect civilian infrastructure from aerial and missile attacks.
