IDF Spokesman Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin revealed new details on the Israeli Air Force’s overnight operation in Tehran:
• Over 70 IAF fighter jets participated in the mission.
• Around 40 sites were struck, including key air defense systems and strategic assets.
• IAF aircraft and drones operated over Tehran for more than 2.5 hours.
• The opening strike disabled Iranian air defenses, allowing Israeli aircraft “aerial freedom of action.”
• Defrin emphasized it was the deepest operation inside Iran by the IDF to date.
• “Tehran is no longer immune. The capital is exposed to Israeli attacks,” he concluded.
This marks a significant tactical and psychological milestone in the escalating conflict.
