U.S. STRIKES TARGET ISIS OPERATIVES IN SOMALILAND
U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth confirmed that U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM), under orders from President Donald Trump, conducted precision airstrikes today against ISIS operatives in the Golis Mountains of Somaliland.
The strikes successfully eliminated several ISIS militants, according to preliminary assessments. The operation is part of ongoing efforts to degrade ISIS’s capacity to plan and carry out terrorist attacks that pose threats to U.S. citizens, partners, and innocent civilians.
These actions mark another step in the administration’s mission to combat terrorist networks in the region.
