Gallant: Strikes on Iran Shift Balance of Power, Limit Missile Production
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant reported to senior IAF officials and the IDF chief of staff that recent strikes on Iran’s air defenses and missile production marked a pivotal change in the regional power balance. “This response was precise, high-quality, and deadly in achieving our targets—an operation unparalleled since the 1967 Six Day War’s Operation Focus,” Gallant said, emphasizing the impact on Iran’s radar and air defense systems, which now limits its defensive capabilities.
Gallant highlighted that the attacks have also severely impacted Iran’s missile production, constraining its stockpiles until manufacturing can resume. This damage represents a “shift in the balance of power,” with Israel’s strength remaining intact while Iran faces setbacks in both its defense and production capacities.
